Book Cover Illustration

This is a book cover I illustrated in Krita and designed in InDesign for my senior portfolio course. I illustrated the background based on Lake Powell in Arizona. I painted the figure on a separate layer so that typography could be placed behind, adding a layer of depth. This also allowed me to have the figure breaking out of the bounds of the imagery on the cover itself.
